We earlier reported that
the IPL Player Auction for the 2017 season which
was previously scheduled to held on February 4 have been postponed. There was
no confirmed date for Player Auctions available at the time but new dates for
IPL Player Auction for the tenth season have been released through official
twitter handle of IPL.
The player auction will
now be held on February 20. Amidst all rumors about the possibility of the change in venue of the auction to Mumbai, Bengaluru remains the venue for player auction. The tweet declaring the new dates for the IPL 2017
Player Auction read:
"NEWS
ALERT - 2017 VIVO #IPL Player Auction will be
held on Monday, 20th February in Bengaluru #IPLauction"
Despite the
unavailability of players like Andre Russell and Kevin Pietersen fans anxiously
await the auction to see which players their favorite team drafts in for the
season.
